Man, woman sought in Tonopah homicide

TONOPAH, Ariz. -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man and woman allegedly involved in a homicide in Tonopah.

The sheriff's office said about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, 34-year-old Manuel Alvarez-Rivera was shot in the gut with a .22 caliber handgun after an argument escalated.

It occurred on the 32000 block of South Harquahala Valley Road.

Irvin Serghei Robles-Nunez, 22, is wanted in connection with the homicide, and was possibly fleeing to Mexico with 21-year-old Danitza Michelle Calderon, who is also known as Danitza De Robles. He reportedly has family in the Nogales area.

The sheriff's office said the couple was driving a 2003 White Pontiac Montana minivan with Arizona license plate "BEC8420." They have a 4-year-old son.

They are believed to be armed and dangerous.
