Phoenix police seek public's help to identify aggravated assault suspect

PHOENIX – Phoenix police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who allegedly assaulted two men during an argument.

According to police, the victims got into an altercation with the suspect at a 7-Eleven at Camelback Road and 67th Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. on Jan. 11. The victims drove away and the suspect followed them to Indian School Road and 67th Avenue.

All three men got out of their vehicles and began to argue. Police said the suspect struck one of the men in the head with an unknown object and returned to his vehicle then deliberately hit the other man with his truck, causing serious injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 230 pounds with short hair and unshaven. He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, long blue shorts with wide white or gray stripes on the sides and dark-framed glasses. He spoke both English and Spanish.

Police have released surveillance video and photos of the suspect.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or silentwitness.org. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect.
