NOGALES, Ariz. – Three women were arrested Monday for attempting to smuggle more than 7 pounds of heroin through the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, Ariz., according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

CBP officers selected a Jaguar sedan for further inspection and found six packages of heroin inside a pair of suitcases.

The heroin was valued at $96,000, according to officials.

The vehicle and drugs were processed for seizure.

The three women were referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.

They were identified as Saniela Moncerratt Soloranzo-Flores, 20, of Nogales, Ariz.; Ana Guadalupe Carrillo-Villa, 19, of Tucson; and Silvia Santacruz, 25, a Mexican national/U.S. permanent resident of Nogales, Ariz.
