MESA, Ariz. -- A first-alarm fire blazed through a stereo store in Mesa Tuesday evening.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. at Stereo City, near Broadway and Country Club.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from the building in the strip mall. Mesa and Tempe fire crews responded to the scene, and up to 75 firefighters were battling the blaze.

The biggest challenge in fighting this fire was the building's concrete roof. Firefighters had to use saws to try to gain access to the interior.

Customers at a martial arts studio next door describe seeing Stereo City go up in flames.

"We came out and the windows were bright orange," says witness Britney Walsh. "When we came out, one of the windows had just exploded. So we got out pretty much right on time."

Fire crews were able to douse the flames, and even managed to salvage some of the store's electronics.

No one was hurt in the fire. There's no word yet on a cause.
