PHOENIX -- Mostly cloudy conditions prevailed across much of Arizona on Friday, bringing temperatures down from previous days.
However, temperatures mostly remained above average for this time of year.
Expect the clouds to begin breaking up Saturday, bringing mostly sunny conditions to most of the state by the afternoon. Valley temperatures for the weekend will be in the mid-70s.
A slow warming trend will bring metro Phoenix near 80 degrees next week.
No rain is in the forecast through the end of January.
