The park opens for public viewing on Saturday, Jan. 25. Cubs Park has a capacity of 15,000-including 9,200 fixed seats -- all of which Mathew will sit in Friday.

The first official Spring Training game at Cubs Park will be on Thursday, Feb. 27 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Self-guided and trolley tours of Cubs Park, the surrounding training complex and Riverview Park.

Tailgating opportunities are also available from noon to 6 p.m.

Tailgating admission is $10 (cash only) with all proceeds benefiting the Mesa HoHoKams, a volunteer organization which raises funds for local youth sports organizations.

Throughout the event enjoy food, live music, inflatables, zip line, tethered hot air balloon rides, baseball themed activities and baseball card show. Arizona Game and Fish also will host free fishing.  The whole celebration will end with a special grand opening program at 5:45 p.m. at the lake.
