PHOENIX -- Join the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library for their huge Winter Book Sale Saturday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 26, noon to 5 p.m., at their warehouse location, 1330 N. 29th Drive (near 29th Avenue and McDowell Road), 85009.
At only $1 per paperback and $2 per hardcover, readers can feed their need to read without breaking the bank.
The Friends' warehouse stores nearly 200,000 used books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks in popular genres such as mystery, hobbies/crafts/DIY, travel, cooking, art, self-help, history and science fiction. Teachers and military personnel (with ID) enjoy 50 percent off all weekend.
On Sunday, prices drop 50 percent for everyone.
Best of all, proceeds from this sale benefit the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library, a non-profit grassroots organization whose mission is to promote, enhance and expand the presence of the library for the benefit of the community.
Founded in 1977, the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Phoenix's public library system, including providing supplemental funding for programs and services at the local library level.
