PHOENIX -- The overall weather pattern in Arizona remains pretty much unchanged as a ridge of high pressure brings warmer than normal temperatures and dry conditions to the western third of the United States.

We’ll see lots of clouds in Phoenix on Friday and highs in the low 70s. Then we’ll see a slow warming trend through the weekend until we get back to 80 degrees late next week. There is no rain in the forecast.

At this point, it’s very likely we’ll end January without any rain in Phoenix. This will be the fifth completely dry January on record.

Flagstaff is also probably going to end the month without snowfall, which is very unusual for the high country.
