SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a Circle K in Scottsdale early Thursday morning.

About 4:30 a.m., a man armed with a large hunting knife entered the store at McDowell and Hayden roads, and went behind the register and demanded cash, according to Scottsdale Police Officer David Pubins.

He received an undisclosed amount of money and fled southbound on foot, Pubins said.

He is described as a light brown-skinned man between 20 and 30 years old. He is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 140 to 150 pounds, and has black collar-length shaggy hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a shirt covering his face, and a sweater appearing to be on backward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-TIPS or Silent Witness at 602-WITNESS.
