PHOENIX — Weekend freeway projects will require Loop 101 lane closures near University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale as well as mostly-nighttime closures of the eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) ramp connecting with northbound Loop 101 in Chandler, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers are asked to use caution, allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes if necessary while the following freeway restrictions are in place this weekend (Jan. 17-20):
•    Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) narrowed to two lanes in each direction between Camelback and Bethany Home roads in Glendale from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Jan. 20) for work related to the ongoing HOV-lane ramps project at the Maryland Avenue bridge. DETOUR: Please use caution and be prepared to merge safely in the work zones.
•    Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) ramp to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) in Chandler closed overnight from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights for maintenance work. DETOUR: To access northbound Loop 101, consider exiting eastbound Loop 202 at Price Road and use northbound Price frontage road to the on-ramp at Chandler Boulevard.
