3 Men try to rob jewelry store, later rob pharmacy

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for three men who attempted to rob a Surprise jewelry store and later robbed a Peoria pharmacy.

About 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, three men entered a jewelry store on Bell Road, west of Grand Avenue.

One man displayed a handgun and told an employee he was robbing the store. Police said the employee quickly pulled out his own gun, and the three men fled the store.

A Peoria pharmacy was robbed a short time later, and police believe the same three men were involved.

One suspect is described as a black man with a lighter complexion, between 18 and 22 years old, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap, a black sweatshirt, dark jeans and dark sunglasses.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black ski mask, and black pants and shoes.

The third suspect is described as a darker skinned man.
