PHOENIX -- A strong area of high pressure building over the West will bring dry, warm and breezy conditions.

Strong off-shore winds known as the Santa Anas will impact Southern California, especially today and tomorrow.  Fire danger there is especially high.

For Arizona, winds will increase to become breezy at times out of the north and northeast.  Relative humidity will be low with a dry air mass in place, and temperatures will warm a bit more during the afternoons.

Look for clear skies and overnight Valley lows in the mid 30s to mid 40s.  Afternoon temperatures will warm to near 75 degrees today and a few degrees warmer Thursday and Friday in the upper 70s.

Abundant sunshine can be expected for the weekend, too, with temperatures peaking in the low 70s.
