CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the October 2012 shooting at Serrano's Mexican Restaurant in downtown Chandler.

On Tuesday, members of the U.S. Marshals East Valley Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Michael David Calvin Jr., 19, of Phoenix.

Authorities said Calvin shot a customer inside the restaurant near Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard on Oct. 6, 2012.

Calvin allegedly entered Serrano's and approached the customer, who was dining at the restaurant, and the two got into an argument.

Authorities said punches were thrown and Calvin pulled out a gun. He allegedly opened fire before eventually running out of the restaurant.

The customer was rushed to the hospital and stabilized.

The Chandler Police Department said Calvin was taken into custody without incident at a Tempe residence.

He was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of aggravated assault and 25 counts of endangerment.

The investigation is ongoing.
