ORACLE, Ariz. – The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has released a composite drawing of an assault suspect and is asking for the public's help to identify him.
According to sheriff's office spokesman Tim Gaffney, a 34-year-old woman reported that she was smoking a cigarette inside her Oracle home at about 6 a.m. on Dec. 31 when a male appeared outside of her home. She said he opened the door, went inside and dragged her from the residence.
The suspect and a second male physically assaulted her then ran from the home.
The victim told investigators that she had seen the first suspect in the past and was able to help the sheriff's office with a composite drawing. Gaffney said the second suspect was wearing a mask.
The attack occurred two weeks after the woman reported a sexual assault. She told authorities that she was grabbed from her front porch by two white males at approximately 2 a.m. on Dec. 15. She said they dragged her to a black pickup truck, which was driven by a third white male.
The victim said she was driven to an unknown desert location where she was brutally sexually assaulted by each suspect. The suspects left her in the desert. She was able to get help from a jogger, who contacted the sheriff's office.
The victim said all three suspects were between 30 and 40 years old. The first suspect was described as chubby, wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as having a medium build with a mustache, wearing a light blue T-shirt with jeans and New Balance athletic shoes. The third suspect was described as having a medium build, wearing jogging clothes described as a Nike jacket with a reflective swoosh emblem.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 520-866-5111.
