PHOENIX -- No big changes in our overall weather pattern are expected for at least a week. That means we'll continue to see daytime highs in the 70s around the Valley with overnight lows in the 40s. By the weekend, we'll get a little bit cooler as a storm system passes to the east of Arizona and it may be breezy at times. But in terms of any rain or snow, we're not seeing much potential until late next week.
As we've mentioned, the National Weather Service office in Phoenix issued its preliminary year end report for 2013 yesterday. Today, there's a much more detailed look at the weather year in review. If you want to take a look, here's the link: www.wrh.noaa.gov.
You'll note 2013 tied for the eighth warmest year on record for Phoenix.
