PHOENIX -- Two people were arrested Friday after allegedly crashing a stolen car into an undercover law enforcement truck.

The Department of Public Safety said officers spotted a stolen vehicle at 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street in Phoenix and followed it.

The vehicle continued north until crashing into a DPS truck and civilian truck.

Sandra Guevara said her husband was pulling out of a gas station when his truck was hit.

"He saw a car speeding and a truck coming toward him, and they caught the car in the middle," she said.

DPS said the driver took off on foot but was apprehended a few blocks away. The passenger was also arrested.
