PHOENIX -- The 819th Engineer Company from the Arizona National Guard returned home from Afghanistan Tuesday, just in time for Christmas.

Some 150 family members and friends were on hand for a special Christmas Eve welcome-home ceremony, including one baby girl who was meeting her daddy face to face for the first time.

The soldiers reported for pre-deployment training on Dec. 26, 2012. They've been overseas supporting Operation Enduring Freedom for the past nine months.

3TV's Casey James was there for the happy reunions.
