PHOENIX -- Arizona is in for a warm-up this week, with afternoon temperatures expected to be above average for the Christmas holiday.
Morning lows are expected this week in the mid 30s to mid 40s under clear skies. A ridge of high pressure will keep the jet stream to the north with calm conditions and mild temperatures in the forecast for the desert Southwest.
Look for highs in the upper 60s Monday and Tuesday and near 70 degrees by Christmas. No rain is expected in the next seven days.
