PHOENIX -- Much of central Arizona above 6,000 feet will be under a winter weather advisory through noon Friday.
We’re forecasting 4 to 8 inches of snow in some of those areas, which could make travel very hazardous in Northern and central Arizona during the storm.
Flagstaff, Prescott and Payson are included in the advisory, which was issued by the National Weather Service.
In the Valley, we’re expecting showers to develop Thursday night and into Friday morning, with most of the action ending by the early afternoon.
At this point, most forecast models are telling us the Phoenix area could see at least .25 inch of rain.
It is also going to be much cooler.
The Valley was in the 70s on Thursday, but may only reach the 50s by Friday afternoon.
The weekend is looking dry but cool, with highs gradually returning to the 60s.
