SCOTTSDALE -- So many toys out there carry the label "Made in China." In fact, only about 10 percent of toys sold in the USA are actually made in the USA.

But one Scottsdale toy shop is proud to feature many toys made in the USA. KidStop Toys is one of the only independent toy retailers left in Arizona, and the store specializes in unique and one-of-a-kind toys, games, puzzles and crafts.

KidStop owner Kate Tanner travels to the top toy shows around the country to find the best toys. Some of those include spooner boards from San Diego and easels and blocks manufactured in Minnesota,

"When they say 'USA,' we hone right in," says Tanner. "We love it here at KidStop because you get to know the manufacturers, especially when they're local, and they stand behind their products."

Tanner also likes to feature products made right here in Arizona. "When you support local, you're supporting you're community," she says."You're supporting your schools, your fire department, your police department. It's neat to know the people you deal with."

KidStop is located at 6990 East Shea Blvd., near the corner of Scottsdale and Shea. For more information call 480-609-9012. You can also learn more or shop online at www.kidstoptoys.com.
