PHOENIX – Phoenix police have released sketches of a male and a female person of interest who may have information concerning the homicide of a security guard last month.

Jeffrey Bellemare, 59, was shot and killed while he was working at an apartment complex near Indian School Road and 55th Avenue on Nov. 29.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspicious vehicle fleeing the parking lot after hearing shots being fired.

The vehicle was described as an older model, light-colored sedan with a light vinyl top and damage to the driver's side fender area.

Police said Bellemare was unarmed and was not wearing a protective vest when he was shot.

Anyone who may recognize one or both of the images is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

The family has set up a memorial fund at Chase Bank under the name of Bellemare's wife, Karan Bellemare. The account number is #531001571.
