PHOENIX -- A woman who left the scene of a hit-and-run in Phoenix was sentenced Friday to 10 days in jail and three years of supervised probation.

Aimee Butel pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an injury collision and a misdemeanor count of DUI.

Butel was arrested in March after hitting and killing a woman while driving intoxicated near 34th Street and Thomas Road.

Police said the victim walked into the middle of the road and began to take off her clothes. She was lying in the street when she was struck by Butel's car.

Butel fled the scene, but police found her a short time later.

Butel is an attorney and a former Maricopa County medical examiner.
