PHOENIX -- A man who was injured Sunday after he was shot during a dispute died during surgery, police said.
According to Phoenix police, the man was involved in a dispute with two other people at a mobile home park on Bell Road, near 12th Street.
Several shots were fired and the man was hit at least once, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died on the operating table.
Police were able to talk to him briefly and said the man was not fully cooperating with the investigation. They are not sure if he knew the other people involved.
According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, the suspects are black males between 20 and 25 years old. One of them is 6 feet tall, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and blue-and-white do-rag. There is no description of the second suspect.
Witnesses said they saw two men leaving the scene in a newer-model dark-colored Ford SUV, possibly an Explorer.
