COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. -- An elderly woman who went missing nearly two weeks ago was found dead Saturday.

Search teams located Mary Black, 86, in a brushy area south of Arizona City, about a mile from her vehicle.

Black went missing from her St. David home Nov. 24, and her car was found six days later.

Search and rescue teams from Cochise County, Pinal County and Pima County were deployed Saturday to the site where Black's vehicle was found.

They searched outward from the vehicle until they located her body about a mile southwest.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said Black would be transported to the Pima County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of extraordinary sorrow," Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels said. "We appreciate the public input and other law enforcement agencies working closely with us during this investigation either by providing tips, thoughts, and/or good will. We are disappointed that the outcome was not more positive and we are here to provide our family support in any way we can."
