PHOENIX -- As a new baby retail store opens in Gilbert, Brilliant Baby Products founder Kathleen Tomes shared some of the items on the shelves.

Tomes said one of the top-selling products in the industry is a lifelike baby bottle, designed to ease the transition from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding.

The bottle has a venting system, four different flow rates, and a breast pump adapter.

Tomes described the bottle as sleek and easy-to-hold, and said its lifelike design makes it easier for dads to feed their infants.

"What's fabulous about it is it's very modern and it's natural like mom," Tomes said. "It's everything you want in a bottle in one."

Another product touted by parents is a Dolce Babi crib that converts to a toddler bed, day bed, and eventually a full-size bed.

Tomes also featured a unique towel that straps around a parent's neck with Velcro, allowing the parent to easily wrap and dry the baby after a bath.

"You'd be surprised by how many accidents there are with parents taking babies out of the bathtub because they're all slippery," she said.

Tomes also demonstrated products for parents-on-the-go, including a portable changing pad and a diaper bag set with matching accessories.

Baby Town at Gilbert Road and the 202 is holding its grand opening Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The store is giving away $20,000 worth of items. Mention the Good Morning Arizona segment to triple your chances of winning free baby products.
