Boy hit by school bus in Goodyear

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- Goodyear police are investigating an accident that involved a school bus and a boy who was apparently riding his bicycle.

Police say the Sunrise preschool bus struck the 7-year-old boy Friday afternoon near Falcon Drive and 152nd Avenue.

The boy was wearing his helmet and was conscious and alert when authorities arrived. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have yet to release any details about what led to the collision.

The roadway was closed in both directions following the collision.
