PHOENIX -- A cold front moving toward Arizona will bring a big change in our weather beginning early Wednesday. In northern Arizona, we’re expecting between four and eight inches of snow in places like Flagstaff by the end of the day Wednesday.
And in the deserts, we'll see widely scattered showers and vastly cooler temperatures. We’ll also have a rather breezy day around the Valley, while northern AZ will be a bit windy at times.
Even though the chance for showers is about 30 percent, when the front comes through the Valley on Wednesday, we don’t expect a lot of rain at all. In fact, most places will get one-tenth of an inch of rain or less. Many areas won’t get any rain.
The big change will be temperatures. We’re headed from the 70s into the 50s by Thursday afternoon.
