TEMPE, Ariz. -- Sun Devil fans were already in line early Sunday morning for tickets to the Pac-12 championship game next weekend.
“I haven't gone to sleep," said Arizona State University student Tahlia Grasie. "We got here at 4:30 a.m. and they told us we couldn't line up until 7 a.m."
ASU will play Stanford University at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The Sun Devils will host the game, which was determined Friday night when they beat the University of Arizona Wildcats 58- 21 in the 87th Territorial Cup.
“It was extremely exciting," said Rick Wiley, an ASU parent who was in line for tickets Sunday. "I was glad to see ASU win the Pac-12 South and now compete for the championship."
The Sun Devils are one win away from the Rose Bowl, which they haven't competed in since the mid-1990s.
“My mom actually went to ASU and she was here when they went to the Rose Bowl," Grasie said. "So it's kind of cool that now that I'm here it seems like they're kind of getting on that track."
Tickets can be purchased at the box office at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.
“Anything is going to be a good seat for a Pac-12 championship game,” said ASU student Nicole Fox.
