PHOENIX  --  Black Friday shoppers at a Phoenix Walmart got a scare Friday, when the store was evacuated for a bomb threat.

Police say the store at Spectrum Christown Mall at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home received a call about a suspicious package.

That prompted security and police to evacuate the store this afternoon, right in the middle of a busy Black Friday shopping day.

"There were a lot of people out here trying to shop and catch some good deals, and we ended up having to throw them out of the store for an hour or so," says David Adams of the Phoenix Police Department.

The caller had said the alleged bomb would go off at a specific time, but that time came and went, and nothing happened.

Officers searched the building, and soon employees and shoppers were given the all-clear to return to the store.
