TEMPE, Ariz. -- We're just a day away from what many consider the biggest sports rivalry in the state.

ASU kicks off against U of A at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe. And we found some dedicated student fans camping out, hoping to score the best seats in the student section.

"I just want to show how important, not just the team feels about this game, but the students also realize how important this game is," says ASU student Tim Schodt.

The fans are hard-core, braving chilly weather and long waits to show their loyalty to the Sun Devils. Many kept busy with laptops and cell phones, and say the wait will be worth it.

"Without the PAC 12 implications, it's the home rivalry," says Schodt. "I'm from Arizona.  I have a lot of friends who go to the University of Arizona, family that went to the University of Arizona, and I always say that it's the most underrated rivalry in sports."

"I love football," student Alex Merry tells us. "Football season is my favorite part of the year.  Devils are rocking it this year, 12th in the BCS.  I'm excited."
