UPDATE: Man missing from Scottsdale assisted living facility found safe

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A man who was reported missing from an assisted living facility in Scottsdale has been found safe.

Austin Gittens was reported missing by Sanctuary staff at 4 a.m. Thursday. Staff members said he was last seen at 2 a.m. at the facility near Roosevelt and 74th streets.
Gittens was located walking on 68th Street just south of McDowell Road at 10 a.m., according to Scottsdale police Officer David Pubins. The person who spotted Gittens called police who arrived and returned him to his facility. 

Pubins said Gittens, who is insulin dependent, had been walking around since early Thursday morning. He was not in need of any medical attention.
