PHOENIX – Phoenix firefighters resuscitated a dog after responding to a house fire Sunday morning.

Phoenix Fire Department units were called to a fire near Seventh Avenue and Coral Gables Drive at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Crews found smoke showing and began firefighting operations.

While searching the home, firefighters found a lifeless dog.

"Rescue efforts were initiated and through effective resuscitation the dog began to move," Capt. Ruben Saavedra said in an email to 3TV.

There were no reports of injuries to the residents or firefighters.
