PHOENIX (AP) -- A new sentencing date has been set for an Iraqi man who was convicted in federal court of being a felon in possession of guns and ammunition.
Abdullatif Ali Aldosary is set to be sentenced in federal court on Feb. 24 for the firearms convictions. He faces up to 10 years in prison for each of the three counts. Aldosary is charged in state court with detonating a homemade explosive device outside an Arizona Social Security building in November 2012. No one was injured. Federal authorities say Aldosary had a previous felony conviction and therefore wasn't allowed to own firearms or ammunition. The federal firearms charges stemmed from evidence collected during searches of his home after the explosive was detonated.
