Boy dies after rollover crash on Bush Highway near Saguaro Lake

PHOENIX – A 9-year-old boy who was ejected from a vehicle during a rollover crash near Saguaro Lake Tuesday afternoon has died.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Jessica Roberds, 36, and her four children were traveling down the Bush Highway around 4 p.m. when she lost control of her Chevrolet Suburban, causing it to roll.

Roberds' 9-year-old son was ejected from the vehicle and it rolled over him.

The boy died from his injuries.

Roberds and her other children suffered only minor injuries. 

Sheriff's detectives do not suspect any impairments at this time. 

The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the crash.
