PHOENIX -- In the wake of a cold front, cooler air is filtering in Arizona, and the Valley is getting in on a few 70-degree afternoons.

Saturday morning kicked off with cloudy skies across a good portion of the state. At Sky Harbor, the morning low started out at 62 degrees and topped out at 73. The afternoon high was a good 10 degrees cooler than it was Friday.

As weak high pressure builds into the region in the coming days, a slight warm-up will take shape. The Valley’s morning lows should dip to the upper 40s and low 50s. Afternoons, however, should remain in the 70s.

On Sunday in Phoenix, expect a high of 75 under sunny skies, with a high of around 79 on Monday.

As a few disturbances brush to the north, cloud cover will move in from time to time for the first half of the week.

By the second half of the week, a trough deeps over the region, increasing cloud cover and bringing rain chances back to the forecast.
