PHOENIX -- A 7-year-old boy who was missing for eight hours has been found safe.

Vincente Alejandro Nava-Trevino, also known as “Junior”, disppeared around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was last seen outside his home near I-17 and Osborn.

The boy's disppearance prompted a massive search in his neighbrohood, but the child was actually found miles away from home.

Before Vincente was found, his father was overcome with emotion as he pleaded for his boy's safe return. "If you're listening, I love you very much," he said, "Come home. I miss you so much."

Police, neighbors and even complete strangers rallied to find the little boy, scouring the area and going door-to-door.

Vincente was finally located at a relative's home. He is all smiles now, but earlier had lots of tears as he was embraced by his father.

"It's heartbreaking to see my son express his feelings but he's doing the best that he can," said his dad. "He means the world to me, just to know that something so precious can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye."
