FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) -- A 20-year-old Red Rock man has pleaded not guilty in the killing of his 19-year-old girlfriend.
The Pinal County Attorney's Office says Ramiro Delcid was arraigned Friday on a charge of second-degree murder in the Oct. 14 killing of Dina Dicochea.
Delcid called 911 last month after he allegedly shot Dicochea in the chest.
The couple was reportedly sitting in Delcid's company work truck when he unloaded his .38-caliber pistol and pointed it at Dicochea in an attempt to scare her.
Delcid pulled the trigger not realizing that one bullet still remained in the gun.
Dicochea was pronounced dead at the scene.
