PHOENIX -- Recent events of a gunman opening fire at LAX, killing a TSA agent and wounding two others, bring up the question "What would you do in that situation?"

Yetta Gibson spoke with several travelers at Sky Harbor International Airport Monday to get answers from them, and most weren't sure what they would do if caught in a public venue shooting.

Steve Adelman, a national security expert, said people should remember three key words in such an event: run, hide and fight.

"I think we can safely say that events over the last few years, if not long before that, have proven there is in fact a real threat of violence on public streets and in public places," Adelman said.

It is important to have a game plan in a potential public act of violence. It is also a good idea to know where exits are in public venues such as movie theaters and airports.
