ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) -- Oro Valley authorities say a 1-year-old boy is dead after drowning in a bathtub.

Police officers arrived at a home in the 9000 block of North Oracle Road on Saturday evening and began performing CPR on the infant.

Golder Ranch Fire Capt. Josh Hurguy says the boy was not breathing and did not have a pulse when paramedics arrived. He says he didn't know how long the baby had been in the water.

The child was taken to a Tucson hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
