PHOENIX (AP) -- Authorities say a Peoria man has been arrested for allegedly molesting a foster child over the past decade.
Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say 61-year-old Bruce Melvin Peacock was arrested Thursday at his workplace in Phoenix.
They say he's being held without bond on suspicion of three counts each of molestation of a child, sexual conduct with a minor and sexual abuse.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit say they were alerted to the alleged misconduct in late September.
They say the 16-year-old victim told her school counselor she had been touched sexually by her foster father.
During the investigation, detectives say they learned Peacock allegedly had sexual contact with the girl since she was 6.
Authorities didn't immediately know Friday if Peacock has a lawyer yet.
