PHOENIX -- One Valley neighborhood is on high alert.  Young girls say a man is trying to lure them into his car.

3TV spoke with two girls, ages 10 and 14, who both saw the man on separate occasions.  They say he drove past them, circled back, and slowed down to talk.  He asked the 10-year-old if she needed help.  Another time he followed her as she walked home alone.

The 14-year-old says the man asked if she needed a ride to school and told her she was pretty.  She says when he asked her age she said she was 14 and too young for him.  She says the man then acted sad.

Her mother, Mandie Bradley, put together a poster warning parents and children about the man and put them up around the neighborhood. She also filed a police report with Phoenix police.  The man is described as a heavy set white man with short blond hair.

He is in his 20's to 40's and doesn't have any facial hair. He was driving a dark blue four door car with faded paint throughout.  He's been seen at 7 a.m. in the area of 21st Avenue and Union Hills.

He's also been seen around 19th Avenue and Grovers.

Phoenix police asks children to walk in groups and for people to be vigilant and get a license plate number if they can.
