Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club Hosts 24th Annual NiteFlite
Night of Dining and Dancing to Benefit Local Children's Charities
(PHOENIX) - Prepare for a night of glitz and glamour at the 24th annual NiteFlite Gala hosted by the Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club. The highly anticipated semi-formal event will be held Saturday October 26 at Talking Stick Resort and is expected to draw more than 2,500 people. The gala will feature a red carpet, a Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil Dance Troupe, signature dishes from the Valley's finest restaurants, and luxurious auction items; all while benefiting local children's charities including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
NiteFlite is the club's signature fundraising event of the year, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. Last year, the 2012 NiteFlite event raised nearly $350,000 dollars and had the largest attendance to date. Organizers hope to raise more money this year for the 15 charities involved.
"The Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club has found a unique way to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help change the lives of Arizona Children. We take this responsibility very seriously and we succeed," said Eric Marcus, chairman of this year's NiteFlite event. "NiteFlite is truly about the kids. When you are able to see the difference you are making and the huge smiles on their faces, it makes everything worth it."
NiteFlite also includes one of Arizona's longest running charity golf tournaments. For the first time in 24 years, the tournament will be held during the day on October 25, the Friday before the Gala. Talking Stick Golf Club owned and operated by Troon Golf, will host the tournament. Golfers will have the chance to play on the North Course, which features lush fairways and greens resulting in a truly challenging round of golf.
Individual tickets for NiteFlite are $150 dollars. Golf & Gala sponsorship packages are also available. All proceeds will benefit a variety of local children's charities like the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, the Arizona Burn Foundation, and Teen Lifeline.
