PEORIA, Ariz. -- One man was shot Thursday afternoon during a dispute at a Peoria apartment complex.
Police responded to the area of 96th Avenue and Olive after receiving word of a shooting.
According to authorities, a 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old man had gotten into an argument at the complex.
At some point during the argument the 23-year-old shot the 26-year-old. The 26-year-old then ran inside his apartment, where he had been home alone with his 9-month-old daughter.
The 23-year-old man went on to call 911. When emergency crews arrived they were able to locate the victim inside his residence.
The 26-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The 23-year-old was taken in for questioning, but he is not considered a suspect at this time.
Police are still working to determine what exactly caused the shooting, and who is to blame.
