PHOENIX -- In honor of Jimmy Buffett's concert Thursday night, downtown Phoenix is transforming into Margaritaville for a pre-concert party.

To keep with the beach party theme, 480,000 pounds of sand are being dumped in front of City Scape on Central Avenue. The party extends from Jefferson to Washington streets on Central.

Admission is free and guests can enjoy margaritas, music, volleyball and more Jimmy Buffett festivities.

The Jimmy Buffett concert begins at 8 p.m. at US Airways Center.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
