PHOENIX -- A 5-week-old kitten is fortunate to be alive after being thrown from a moving vehicle this weekend.

The Arizona Humane Society said the kitten was in their trauma center Sunday morning after being tossed from a truck at 43rd Avenue and Bell Road.

An individual in the area saw the incident and called Emergency Animal Medical Technicians, who quickly responded to the scene.

Fortunately, the kitten didn’t suffer any serious injuries and is expected to be ok.

The cat, which weighs less than a pound, will be sent to a foster home where he will spend a few weeks gaining weight before being put up for adoption.
