PHOENIX -- Today is National Boss's Day. What will you do for yours?

John Trujillo is one of the big bosses at the city of Phoenix’s Public Works Department, with 600 employees who love him.

"My employees are really great!" he said. "Yesterday, they left cards and cake. Today they are going to and go bowling."

It turns out a lot of people have big plans for the person who signs their checks.

“Get ‘em cake and a bottle of wine ... and they will go home and have a nice glass of wine with their dinner,” said Monica Zarigoza, who thinks her boss is better than anyone else.

"One of our co-workers was like, 'It's bosses day so get some things together. We have a new supervisor and make sure they feel welcome and make sure they know their leadership is important to us.'"

At the corporate office of American Valet, the staff decided to do something special for their big cheese.

“She is one of those women that everybody strives to be -- amazing, super busy, always on the go. She always has a smile on her face,” says Jesse Duran, the HR director at American Valet.

Jesse and her co-workers surprised their boss, Kelly, during a closed-door meeting.

American Valet wants people to know that they are on a hiring spree. They are looking to hire 100 valet drivers in the next 30 days. This is a great opportunity for those looking for some extra holiday money!.
