Sketch released of suspect sought in San Tan Valley home invasion

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. – The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help as detectives investigate a home invasion that took place in San Tan Valley on Sept. 25.

The victim answered a knock on her door during the evening and two unknown females forced themselves into her home located near North Gantzel Road and West Chandler Heights Road, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim told detectives that the suspects began to physically attack her and attempted to wrap a bra and other items around her neck to choke her.

She said she struggled with one of the suspects while the other stole items from her home.

The two suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained injuries to her head that required medical attention, including stitches.

The reason for the attack is unknown at this time.

The victim described one of the attackers as a white or light-skinned Hispanic female, late 20s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and shoulder-length hair that was in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts.

The sheriff's office released a composite sketch of the suspect in the hopes that someone will be able to identify her.
