PHOENIX -- Neighbors are speaking out at the Pueblo Sereno Mobile Home Park after a 55-year-old man died in a house fire early Saturday morning.

“I stayed up all night, didn't go back to bed, “ said Albin Scheiden who lives next to the home that burned down.

Scheiden and his wife feared the flames would jump over to their roof.

“Just having the fire that close to you, “ said Scheiden.

Scheiden said two men driving by the neighborhood were the ones who called 911.

Flames were shooting from the front of the mobile home when crews arrived, according to Scottsdale Fire Department.

Crews entered the home and found a 55-year-old man inside the living room.

He was pronounced dead at the scene due to the fire.

“They brought him out, worked on him on the ground but couldn't bring him back, “said one witness.

Neighbors said the man didn’t socialize much.

“He was kind of a loner and kept to himself, “ said Scheiden.
