Suspect arrested in Avondale apartment shooting

AVONDALE, Ariz. -- A man suspected of shooting four people at a West Valley party was taken into custody this week.

Avondale police said 36-year-old Darrol Clayborn was arrested on Friday for allegedly shooting four people on Oct. 6 at an apartment complex near 111th Avenue and Van Buren Street.

The four people shot suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said they were able to identify Clayborn as the suspect during the course of  their investigation.

With help from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, authorities were able to place him under arrest on Friday.

Clayborn has been booked into jail for misconduct with weapons-prohibited possessor and four counts of aggravated assault.
