Reward offered in bicycle theft case

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Silent Witness is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who stole two bicycles from a race in Tempe last month.

According to authorities, a man believed to be in his twenties stole two Cervelo racing bikes and personal property from the Nathan’s Triathlon Race at Tempe Beach Park on Sept. 22.

The theft occurred between 6:35 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. The combined value of the bicycles is estimated at over $6,500.

The suspect was last seen riding out of the US Airways parking garage southbound on Ash Avenue.

The suspect is said to have a muscular build, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, blue running shoes with green laces, and a stolen helmet and sunglasses.
